In an official statement, the Real Madrid star denies that he forced Vinicius to break up with his girlfriend

Real Madrid defender Eder Militao of Brazil has broken his silence after his name emerged amid the controversy surrounding his compatriot and partner Vinicius Junior’s split from girlfriend Virginia Fonseca.

Militao’s response came after rumors spread online that Militao and Vinicius had brought prostitutes from the Brazilian city of Piracicaba to Madrid, Spain, which was the decisive reason for the end of Vinicius’s relationship with his girlfriend.

Today, Friday evening, Militao published a statement through his official account on the “Instagram” platform, in which he said:

“At the moment, I am fully committed to recovering from the injury in order to miss the 2026 World Cup, and I am also devoting my full attention to my family, especially my pregnant wife… I admit that I am afraid of this situation.”

“I have reached a point where I almost leave the house without my wife with me because of the magnitude and impact of these allegations, which have no basis in fact… I repeat that if there are any real allegations against my name, real evidence must be presented and not just speculation, snap judgments or stories made up on the internet.”

Militau concluded. “The irresponsible publication of false allegations not only damages my image, but also damages my family, who have been directly affected by this unfair exposure… I am asking for respect, responsibility and compassion at this sensitive time.”
