OpenAI continues to challenge its managers to win the AI ​​battle


OpenAI also announced further restructuring on Friday, including other areas and making company president Greg Brockman the head of overall operations.

In a memo seen by SeasideBrockman writes that since this year’s OpenAI strategy is to go to AI agents, the company is combining its products to “invest in a single technology platform and combine ChatGPT and Codex into a unified experience for all.”

To achieve this, the company is making changes to the charts, although it is still working same thing from last month. That’s when AGI boss Fidji Simo went on medical leave and OpenAI announced that Brockman would oversee business strategy and CSO Jason Kwon, CFO Sarah Friar, and CRO Denise Dresser would oversee business operations.

It’s all part of the latest OpenAI technological change focusing on key investment drivers such as coding and business and refraining from investing in “side issues” ahead of a possible IPO later this year and amid pressure to turn a profit.

Simo continues, Brockman’s leading role in sales is now official, as well as the company’s “expanding” arm. Under Brockman there will be four different columns. The first is a startup and a platform, led by Thibault Sottiaux, who has been the head of OpenAI for Codex, and the second is the most important industry, led by the head of ChatGPT Nick Turley. The third is the pillar of consumers, such as health, marketing, and personal finance, which will be led by Ashley Alexander, who has become its health products VP. The fourth pillar – foundation, marketing, data science, and growth – will be led by Vijaye Raji, who has been OpenAI’s CTO of software.

Brockman wrote in a memo that OpenAI’s goal now is to “bring agents to the level of ChatGPT, to provide people and organizations with greater value and utility from our products.”
