A Moroccan legend is coming to a new Gulf station

The leadership of the Qatari “Lusail” club is in serious negotiations with the former defender of the Moroccan national team, “Al Sadd” defender Ghanem Sais, in order to sign a contract with him in the upcoming summer transfer period.

The fledgling club are looking to join the Doha Bank Stars League next season to bolster their ranks in the summer Mercato, according to Qatari newspaper Al-Raya.

It’s worth noting that Sais’ contract with Al Sadd will expire at the end of the current season and Al-Zaim currently has no plans to extend his contract with the Atlas Lions legend.

Sais (36 years old) represented Morocco in 86 international matches, during which he became the author of 3 goals and one assist. He was also captain of the national team before he announced his international retirement last February after competing in the 2025 Cannes Games on Moroccan soil.
