BioLite solar panels are down to their lowest price on Memorial Day

Memorial Day activities are here – wrong, some of them. BioLite, the all-natural cleaner, has launched great holiday advertising before May 26, which caused prices to drop smokeless fire pits, headlampsand solar stovesonly during the summer. The company’s Site Lights are also sold at Amazon, REIand from BioLite for $74.89 ($25 off) through May 26, which is the best price we’ve seen on the best solar lights.

While still expensive for a set of six bulbs, I’ve found the Site Lights to be worth it for their simplicity and versatility. Each IPX4-rated bulb can illuminate your campsite for up to 20 hours at maximum brightness – or six hours on top – allowing you to light the way back to your tent or cover a 1,000-square-metre area with ambient lighting. In addition, the drying lights can fit on the six integrated ABS poles, which also double as tent pegs when needed. It’s a bogus trick, though I wish the electrical wiring harness was a little more secure.

Ride options are only part of the equation, however. The Site Lights come with a solar powered connector that works like a wireless headset. The clamshell charger provides enough juice to charge any fixed bulb twice on a full battery, and when it’s low, you just plug it in like you would AirPods. Rechargeable AA Zepath batteries use a similar payment method, which, like we have said beforeit’s very useful because it means you don’t have to connect each cell individually. I just wish I lived in an area where sunlight was easy.
