Erling Haaland to make his debut – as a Viking called Haaland | Video

Manchester City players Erling Haaland to make his part as an actor, in a music video as the voice of Viking – called Haaland.

According to the Hollywood Reporterthe Norwegian international will play “his movies” in Viqueens, directed and written by Harald Zwart, director of the Karate Kid and Dutch-Norwegian Agent Cody Banks.

The IMDB review for the movie describes the Viqeens story as follows: “To get back, two brave Viking girls leave. Norway in China. Discovering secrets, mastering dragon kites, fireworks and kung fu, and realizing that the gifts of friendship outweigh anything taken from enemies.

Zwart said: “Erling has already become the icon of a real Viking in the world – strong, fearless and uniquely Norwegian. Bringing him into this universe as himself gives the film an unexpected power and authenticity that felt very good in this story.”

Zwart has already found singer Rita Ora and Ella Purnell of the Yellowjackets as the leads, called Hedvig and Ingrid, and chatshow host Alan Carr in a small role as “the anti-royal secretary”.

Haaland, who joined Manchester City in 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, is leading the race for the Golden Boothaving scored 26 goals so far in the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Viqueens is due for release on Christmas.
