Women’s Six Nations: Wales make just one change to win Italy match

“We came into camp on Tuesday this week and you could see the frustration in the players,” Lynn said.

“One thing I told the girls and the staff this week, we have 80 minutes to fix it. We’re not next week.

“So going into Italy, it’s about an 80-minute performance, getting everything right, putting it together from Ireland, but with the positivity we got from Scotland, France and England.”

Italy arrived in Cardiff with a goal against Scotland to ensure victory Against five-time world champions England.

And Lynn knows Wales will need to be strong defensively against a team that scored a record against Wales in last year’s final round in Parma.

“You can’t have a free-flowing attacking team if you can make sure you’re winning skirmishes,” he said.

“If you look at a small win against Ireland, we gave them the slowest pace of the tournament so far. So it’s making sure we can slow them down and be competitive in that area to keep that consistency.”
