The OpenAI codex is now in the ChatGPT mobile app

OpenAI will allow users to access Codex, its desktop AI tool that can write code and run programs on your computer, from the ChatGPT app on your phone.

Codex in the ChatGPT mobile app allows you to use your phone to tell Codex on your computer to run. With your phone, you can “work on all your threads, review your output, approve rules, change colors, or start a new one” in Codex, according to the blog post. “Your files, information, permissions, and settings reside on the machine where Codex is running, while updates are sent back to your phone in real time, including images, outputs, contrasts, test results, and approvals.”

The app is live now as a preview for iOS and Android on all ChatGPT plans, including the free plan and the more affordable Go plan.
