Americast – Trump wants China to stop war with Iran?

Available for over a year.

Donald Trump and President Xi as the US president is making his first visit to China in a decade. There is a fragile rapprochement after the two countries came close to a full-blown trade war last year, and now the United States may be looking to China to end its war in Iran. As usual, Donald Trump brought in tech executives including NVIDIA’s Jenson Huang, Apple’s Tim Cook, Tesla’s Elon Musk and SpaceX, BlackRock’s Larry Fink, and other tech executives from Meta, Visa, JP, Boeing, Morgan Stanley, and others, hoping that his positive personal relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping will help broker several business deals. But hanging over the entire trip is the tenuous ceasefire in Iran, which Trump says is on “massive life support.” China is a key ally of Iran and may be more capable of facilitating a peace deal, but what does Beijing want from any peace deal, and could the US president turn down the chance to end a war that is so unpopular with Americans back home? Back in Washington, D.C., FBI Director Kash Patel faced more questions about reports of an overdose, while he was at a congressional hearing on the FBI’s budget. Patel continues to deny the allegations and has sued The Atlantic for defamation over the report. Why can’t he destroy the claims and promote Donald Trump?
