Cameron Devlin scored for Hearts to take them one step closer to winning the Scottish Premiership

It was a nervy start for the Jumbos who were spared an early offside flag when Calvin Miller found the ball in the net for the Bairns.

Frankie Kent nodded in the opener as Tynecastle Cami Devlin exploded with another added before the break. Blair Spittal then extended a crucial goal difference with a second-half stunner.

Blair Spittal scored an incredible goal for Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

The fans were on an emotional rollercoaster as the goals filtered in from Fir Park, but Derek McInnes’ side stayed a point clear of Celtic as they chased their first title since 1960.

Hearts are unbeaten in the league at home and are yet to lose to Celtic this season.

They struggled in the opening stages under the lights at Gorgie, but nerves settled when Kent nodded ahead of Nicky Hogarth.

When Devlin doubled their lead and it looked like it was going to be the night Hearts fans had been dreaming of.

News of Celtic taking the lead in Lanarkshire calmed the party, but Motherwell’s leveler and Spital’s superb finish into the bottom corner raised the noise level again.

But no other season offered more drama as the Hoops’ late penalty robbed them of a late win to set up an epic title decider.

What’s coming up in the Scottish Premiership?
