The president of “Real” responds to the statement of “Blaugrana” with an open threat
The storm unleashed by Florentino Perez, the president of “Real Madrid”, which started with his fiery press conference, in which he announced the call for presidential elections and sharply attacked the press, is not calming down.

Perez has reopened the file on Barcelona’s payments to former referees’ committee vice-president Jose Maria Negrea, confirming Real Madrid is producing a massive 500-page file documenting what he describes as “incidents that affected the club” during and after the payment period.
The president of “Real Madrid” said on La Sexta radio. “I didn’t come here for some referees to get rich with Barcelona’s money. They will now discover that we are in full control of the situation. There is no need to bribe referees.”
He added that Real Madrid will submit all documents to the European Football Association, noting that UEFA president Alexander Ceferin informed him that the club “acts in accordance with its rights”.
“The documents include the years they paid and the years they claim they stopped, the same referees go on to show all the points they blatantly stole from us, this season alone, between 16 and 17 points.”
Barcelona explore legal escalation… and Perez hits back
Perez’s statements did not go unnoticed at Camp Nou. Barcelona said they were looking into the claims with a view to taking possible legal action, and the club’s vice-president Rafa Juste attacked the Real Madrid president, saying:

Perez’s escalation comes at a sensitive time as the elections he called approach and as Real continue their legal and media battle to prove they are being harmed by the Negrea case, which has rocked Spanish football since 2023.
Perez is using Mourinho to prove that it’s not in his hands
Among the files revealed by Florentino Perez in his riveting interview with La Sexta was the case of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, whose name is once again circulating the corridors of the Santiago Bernabeu despite his current coaching role at Benfica.
When the Real Madrid president was asked about the possibility of “Hatuki” leading the royal team, his answer was diplomatic, but he did not completely close the door. “Do I love Mourinho? I love all the coaches. He was with us from 2010 to 2013 and obviously raised our level of competitiveness. After he left, we managed to win several Champions League titles in a row.”
Peres, defending his role in the selection of coaches, added: “It is not true that I appoint the coaches. There is a sports management that makes decisions and my role is limited to supporting the institutional work.”
The broadcaster’s claim, knowing Perez’s stance on Mourinho, prompted the president to reply with a smile. “You talk a lot about Mourinho. I didn’t even speak to him when he came to the Bernabeu for the Champions League game against Benfica.”
Justifying the slippage of “Real”. Xavi was not the magic solution
Regarding the appointment of Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid coach until the start of the 2025 Club World Cup, Florentino Perez explained that the decision was made due to the pressure of the games and the accumulation of fatigue on the players, which he considers the main reason for the team’s performance in the last stage.
“We did not have a real preparation period for the season due to a packed schedule and back-to-back participation in local and continental tournaments, which negatively affected the physical condition of the players and made them enter the season in a clearly fatigued state.”
The president of the Royal Club added that the management made a bet that the technical change would be enough to put the team on the right track.
Perez emphasized that the lack of preparation period and the cohesion of the seasons did not allow the new technical staff to make its full mark, noting that repeated injuries to a number of key players aggravated the situation and forced the team to pay the price of fatigue in the most important stages of the season.
