The Algerian star is considered one of the most famous in the ranks of “Al-Raqi” since 2023.
Media reports have revealed a surprising point which is bringing Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Al Ahly’s star, closer to leaving the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Mahrez’s contract with Al-Ahly expires at the end of next season as he signed a four-year deal after joining Al-Raqi from Manchester City in the summer of 2023.
Saudi newspaper Al-Youm says the contract includes a clause that allows either side to terminate it between June 1 and June 30, 2026 for $15 million.
In case of departure before or after that period, the party that broke the contract must pay the balance of its value, which is 40 million dollars.
