A Saudi journalist said that Salah is no longer suitable for Roshan’s league… and the reaction was swift from the pharaohs’ camp.
Egypt’s national team has responded strongly to Saudi journalist Waleed Farraghy regarding the possibility of Liverpool star and Pharaohs captain Mohamed Salah joining Rushen’s professional league next season.
Salah spoke about his future after announcing he will leave the Red Castle at the end of the current season, bringing the curtain down on a long career with the English Premier League side.
The Egyptian star has been a target for Saudi clubs for the past few years, but a deal has yet to be completed.
and:Al-Faraj commented through his account on the platform “X” earlier today, Tuesday He said: “I wish superstar Mohamed Salah the perfect end to his inspiring career in England. “Staying in Europe or America would suit him better than playing professionally in the Middle East.”
The famous Saudi journalist added: “Salah no longer fits Roshen’s future plans, he will demand what he offered 3 years ago and our fans are relentless and I don’t think he needs this pressure now.”
In turn, the media coordinator of the Egyptian national team, Mohamed Murad, responded to these statements, stressing that “Salah does not need anyone’s advice after his long career in the world’s strongest championship.”
Murad said through his Facebook account. “I tell Professor Walid that after Salah’s long and ancient history and his records in the strongest league in the world, he does not need anyone’s advice. He knows what he’s doing very well.”
“Clubs in the Roshan League have been hoping to sign Salah for the past three years and he would certainly add a lot to the Saudi league.”
Salah is set to play with Egypt at the 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada and Mexico.
