Danny Rohl is optimistic about Rangers’ future after board talks.

It will be another summer of rebuilding at Rangers, with captain James Tavernier leaving after 11 years and completing several loan deals.

Rohl says the club needs more authority in the squad and believes he and the board are on the same page during the summer recruitment drive.

“The most important thing is what I have said many times, we have to take all the information and what we need into the new season,” he said.

“I think you can imagine, we will lose the captain of Tav and for us, this is a big sign.

“We need new leaders, more leaders in the dressing room to set the standards we need on the training ground at difficult times in the game.

“I think this is important, this is a great opportunity to work on this.

“Discussions with the club again yesterday and you can really believe me, I am very clear, especially after the last three weeks, what we need to be high, high, high.”
