What is happening inside the palace?
The crisis within Real Madrid is worsening between player Dani Ceballos and coach Alvaro Arbeloa in light of a escalating row that has seen him left out of the squad twice in recent times.
And I mentioned Spanish “Mundo Deportivo” newspaper.“The roots of the dispute go back to Ceballos’ knowledge of some negative statements made by the coach about the club the player was seeking to move to, which caused tension between the two sides and fueled a crisis in the dressing room.”
Since then, Ceballos has been absent from the squad for three consecutive matches, starting at the end of April against Real Betis at Sevilla’s La Cartuja stadium, a game that saw the first decision to send him off, after a row between player and manager apparently escalated.
His absence continued in the following matches as he was not called up against Espanyol at the RCDE before he was again ruled out against Barcelona in the last El Clasico at the Camp Nou, suggesting the crisis continues with no sign of easing.
Reports suggest that the crisis erupted further when the player learned that the Real Madrid coach had not paid him any praise in front of one of the clubs Ceballos had been in talks with over his future, which the player saw as a negative attitude towards him.
Although his contract with Real Madrid runs until June 30, 2027, the international looks closer to an exit in the next summer transfer window, especially after his previous attempt to move to Olympique Marseille fell through at the last minute last summer.
The player is also said to be suffering from an apparent decline in his role in the team, given the reliance of other players, including academy member Thiago Pitarch, on some technical choices at his expense.
Since the dispute escalated, Ceballos has been completely excluded from the team’s plans and is no longer included in the technical calculations, it is likely that he will not return until the end of the season. If this situation continues, his last participation will start last February 21, when he played just eight minutes in the match that Real Madrid lost 2-1 to Osasuna.
