Liam Manning: The Huddersfield Town boss has left the club after compassionate leave

Huddersfield Town boss Liam Manning has left the club by mutual consent two months after taking compassionate leave.

Manning stepped down from his role in March, with the League One side saying in a statement at the time that the decision was made after he “made the club aware of ongoing personal matters relating to the tragic death of his newborn son Theo in October 2024”.

“I want to pay a huge tribute to Liam today,” chairman Kevin Nagel told the club’s website.

“Stepping out of this role is the right decision for him and his family and it comes before everything else.”
