Aberdeen’s Jack Millen’s racist abuse of Jeremy Bokiller ‘not proven’

Allegations of racist abuse by Aberdeen defender Jack Milne towards Livingston striker Jeremy Boekilla have been found “not substantiated” after a Scottish FA investigation.

Both players were sent off after 70 minutes of Aberdeen’s 6–2 win at Pittodrie on 24 January.

Livingston subsequently complained to the SFA’s compliance officer, who launched an investigation.

Then Livingston manager David Martindale said after the game that 37-year-old Bokila broke down in tears in the changing room after a comment made to him on the pitch.

The former Democratic Republic of Congo forward and Milne were sent off after a scuffle between players.

Aberdeen said in a website statement: “Throughout this process, Jack has consistently and vehemently denied the allegations made against him and the club has continued to support him during what has been a very difficult and distressing time for all involved.

“It goes without saying that Aberdeen FC unequivocally condemns all forms of racism and discrimination.

“The club now considers this matter closed and will make no further comment.”
