Real Madrid announced on Monday that one of its famous players underwent a successful operation.
“Real Madrid” in its official website says: “Our player performed Ferland Mandy A successful operation today under the supervision of the club’s medical services, due to an injury to the rectus femoris muscle of the right leg.”
“Ferland Mendy will start the recovery process in the next few days.”
As the Spanish newspaper “Marca” informs, the French player will be absent from the field for four to five months after the operation.
French doctor Bertrand Sonnery Côté oversaw the operation, which was performed in Lyon in the presence of Real Madrid’s medical staff, who followed the operation and medical protocol in coordination with Mendy.
The French defender suffered the injury during the Spanish league game against Espanyol, with initial scans at the time confirming his season was over with the team, which has seen him sidelined for a long time due to recurring muscle injuries.
Immediately after the injury was diagnosed, the player began researching available treatment options and sought out a specialized surgeon, deciding that surgery was the only option for recovery.
