Discord adds ‘Starter Edition’ of Xbox Game Pass for Nitro subscribers

Discord is announcing the launch of Nitro Rewards today, a new subscriber program that benefits third parties such as Microsoft, Logitech, and SteelSeries, and subscriptions to Nitro. The big plus is that Nitro members now get access to the new version of Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost.

The first version of Xbox Game Pass, which it leaked last monthallows PC and Xbox owners to download more than 50 games, including titles like Fallout 4, Stardew Valleyand DayZ. The basic edition also includes 10 hours per month of Xbox Cloud Gaming streaming and the ability to earn up to $25 per year in Xbox Store and rewards.

Along with the Game Pass bundle, Nitro subscribers will also get discounts of up to 30 percent at Logitech G, 15 percent at SteelSeries, and 20 percent at KontrolFreek. Nitro members will also receive only 250 Orbs each month, the in-app money which Discord uses to tempt users to watch ads in exchange for things like avatar decorations or game bonuses.
