The big music houses and theaters of the 1920s revolutionized the era of the moving picture, which led to the purchase, conversion of high-quality films in the US – many of which became established cultures. From the rise of television in the 1950s to today’s streaming and mobile viewing platforms, the use of television has become increasingly personal. As a result, many of the once popular movie theaters have been abandoned, renovated or stood as abandoned ruins.
