Cruyff massacre in Ajax. 17 players to leave on the guillotine

Earthquake in Amsterdam

Ajax Amsterdam are set to shake up their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window as part of a comprehensive restructuring plan led by sporting director Jordi Cruyff, son of the late legend Johan Cruyff.

According to the website:Algemin DagbloodDutchman Cruyff is set to carry out one of the biggest changes in the club’s modern history, sacking 15 to 17 players at once, in what is being described in the club’s corridors as a “radical change” aimed at restoring Ajax’s artistic identity and regaining its lost luster.

Inside sources say that this plan is not limited to technical aspects, but extends to important economic dimensions, as the club hopes to obtain significant financial returns from the sale of a number of young and promising names such as Mika Godetz, Yuri Bass and Kasper Dolberg, so as to strengthen the team’s budget in the next phase.

The list of players tipped to leave also includes other big names, including Oskar Gloch, Josip Sutalo and Owen Wendal, amid a clear managerial trend towards reducing the size of the roster and rebalancing the squad.

Through this revolution, Ajax management aims to achieve two main goals. first to reduce wages and get rid of the high financial burden for players who do not provide the expected addition and second to open the door to new contracts in line with Cruyff’s artistic vision, thus increasing the level of competition locally and in Europe.
