Fragile to stop the fire in the US-Israeli war against Iran is reaching a serious crisis as several Gulf countries are said to be attacking.
Qatar said on Sunday that a cargo plane had crashed into a cargo ship in Qatari waters, setting it on fire, while Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates said they had repelled the drone attack.

Although no Gulf countries have reported casualties in the latest attacks, they have enforced a ceasefire that began on April 8.
The Ministry of Defense of Qatar said that the cargo ship was arriving in the country’s waters from the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, and was hit by a pilot plane in the northeast of Mesaieed port.
The ministry also said: “The train continued its journey towards the port of Mesaieed when the fire started.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said the bulk carrier was hit by an “unknown projectile”, and a small fire was put out, but there were no casualties. “There is no environmental impact,” it said.
Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said “several malicious drones” were detected in the country’s airspace early in the morning. In X’s letter, a spokesman said the drones were carried out “in accordance with established procedures”, but did not specify where the drones originated.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said two Iranian drones were intercepted.
“The UAE’s air defense systems successfully intercepted two UAVs that were launched in Iran,” the ministry said in a statement on X.
The Trump administration says the deal is still working, but a naval war has been raging in the Gulf region, Iran is blocking people from crossing the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway through which a fifth of the world’s oil traded before the war, and the United States is closing Iranian ports.
Several attacks have been reported on ships in the Gulf and countries in the region in the past week.
On Friday, the US hit two Iranian oil tankers, saying they were trying to breach their blockade of Iranian ports.
On Tuesday, the UAE said it had begun attack from Iranian missiles and drones for the second day in a row. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied the claims.
The IRGC Navy on Sunday reiterated its warning that any attack on Iranian oil tankers or commercial vessels would face “a serious threat” to one of the areas used by the US military and enemy ships.
The spokesman for the foreign policy and security committee in Iran’s Parliament, Ebrahim Rezaei, said “Tehran’s ban has ended”.
“Any aggression against our ships will be met with a strong and decisive response by Iran against American ships,” Rezaei wrote on X.
“This time is going against the will of the American people, it is beneficial for them not to act stupidly and immerse themselves in the mire they have fallen into. The best way is to surrender and accept. You have to get used to the new regional system,” he added.
Although the agreement is still in effect, President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to resume US bombing if Iran does not accept the agreement, which includes reopening the Strait of Hormuz and restoring its nuclear program.
Iran is still looking for its response to Washington’s 14 proposals, with Iran’s economic freeze and war retaliation among other key points.
In a meeting with the Secretary of State of America Marc Rubio on Saturday, the Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani urged all sides to respond to the ongoing efforts and to achieve a lasting peace agreement.
The Qatari prime minister also had a phone call with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the Qatari Foreign Ministry said on Sunday.
Sheikh Mohammed told Araghchi that Iran’s use of the Strait of Hormuz as a “coercive card” would only exacerbate the crisis in the Gulf, and he said that all warring parties should respond to actions to end the conflict.
Reports from Tehran, Al Jazeera’s Tohid Assadi said that when it comes to the talks, it seems that the US and Iran want the content of the talks to be kept secret.
Currently, there is a mixture of different opinions among Iranian citizens, he said.
“Since the early days of the war, people have come together to express their nationalism and political support,” he said.
“But we also know that there is frustration, especially when it comes to rising prices and financial problems,” he added.
At a conference on reconstruction after the destruction of the war, President Masoud Pezeshkian said that talks with the US on ending the war do not mean that Iran is surrendering.
“The goal is to recognize the rights of the Iranian people and protect the country’s interests and sovereignty,” he said.
